Three Griffin Humphries attorneys recognized in The Best Lawyers in America 2027 edition

Three attorneys at Griffin Humphries have been selected for inclusion in the 2027 edition of The Best Lawyers in America®, with all earning recognition for their work as litigators.

The 2027 edition continues a long history of recognition of Griffin Humphries attorneys, dating back to 2017 when Humphries was honored for the first time. The firm’s track record also includes a Lawyer of the Year award to Griffin for Criminal Defense: White-Collar in the Columbia area in the 2024 edition.
Griffin has tried cases in state and federal courts for more than 35 years. His criminal defense practice includes serving as lead trial counsel in high-profile cases that have drawn national attention, among them the defense of Alex Murdaugh. He is an accomplished health care lawyer who has represented providers in groundbreaking litigation.
Humphries, based on Sullivan’s Island, represents shareholders and investors in cases involving securities fraud and breach of fiduciary duty. His practice also includes complex cases involving defective products and professional malpractice. He also represents landowners against condemning authorities in eminent domain proceedings and is currently prosecuting a putative class action against Elba Energy Company, L.L.C. related to the Elba Bridge Project.
Fox’s practice includes securities litigation, class actions, and complex federal criminal and civil cases, including her role on the legal team representing Alex Murdaugh in his high-profile South Carolina criminal cases. She has litigated cases involving kickback allegations, Ponzi schemes, money laundering, and wire fraud. She also represents clients in cases involving health care fraud, business disputes, and employment law.
